Endangered Species

Trees in Seattle have become an endangered Species.

As each day passes, more trees are killed.
Some because they are hazards,
Some due to aesthetics,
Some are in the way,
Some are trees,
all are gone.

Today a tree stands tall and majestic. A home is shaded, a family enjoys beauty.
Tomorrow the home is sold. The Developer rolls, and the Tree is gone.
Eternity's loss.

Such is the Destiny for Seattle's Trees.
Evergreen will be Evergone.

It is in the hands of the Mayor and the City Council to pass an Interim Emergency Tree Ordinance, that protects trees inside and outside development, before there is no reason to have a Tree Ordinance.

Will it happen?
